Interesting places and activities in summer

In summer, Špindlerův Mlýn offers not only a lot of places with beautiful views on the surrounding mountains and lake Labská, but also adrenaline activities that will be enjoyed by enthusiasts of all sports. Families with children can visit playgrounds, lego museum, bobsled track or Monkey Park. If you are interested in history, you can visit the anti-nuclear shelter, which is located under the Hotel Harmony.


Miller's trails

Miller’s trails are located across Špindlerův Mlýn and its surroundings, passing through the quiet zones of the Krkonoše nature outside the traffic routes. All trails start in the city park near to the statue of Špindlerův Mlýn (10 minutes from our guesthouse).


Labská Dam - Špindlerův Mlýn

…you cannot overlook and miss this beautiful and graceful landmark when entering Špindlerův Mlýn – the first dam on the Elbe River – Labská Dam, formerly Krausovy Boudy Dam.


Sněžka – the highest mountain in the Czech Republic

You should visit Sněžka – it is one of the most interesting places in the Czech Republic. With its elevation of 1,602 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain of the Czech Republic. Sněžka Mountain is a major landmark of the eastern part of the Krkonoše Mountains.


Spindleruv Mlyn in winter - activities and interesting places

Spindleruv Mlyn is the most famous and largest ski resort in the whole Czech Republic. Its altitude from 710 – 850 m.n.m. satisfies most visitors who are looking for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, hiking and also relaxation in nature. Krakonoš (Man of the mountains) has been a symbol of the town for several decades.


The source of the Elbe River - Labská louka and the highest waterfall in the Czech Republic

Everybody associates Špindlerův Mlýn with mountains and skiing. Špindlerův Mlýn is also famous for the fact that the source of the major European river, Elbe, is located just 8 kilometers from the town center. Špindlerův Mlýn is the first town, the biggest Czech river runs through. From Špindlerův Mlýn, the river sets out for a 1 122 km long journey, of which 364.4 km is in the Czech Republic.



Vrbatova bouda - Sněžné jámy - Petrova bouda

Snow pits are massive glaciers that have created a beautiful natural monument. The path goes across Zlaté Návrší, where is the monument of Hanč and Vrbata, continues through the Elbe Spring to the Snow Pits. From Snow Pits you can continue along the ridge to Petrova bouda and back to Špindlerův Mlýn.


Walking through the White Elbe Valley - The Weber Route

This walking tour is one of the most romantic trips in the whole Krkonoše Mountains. You will pass across several creeks, walk along the waterfalls, and you will visit the second zone of the national park. You will visit all points of interest that make the Krkonoše Mountains the most-visited hiking resort in the Czech Republic.
